Welcome back, Hanna Miskimmin

"After completing my placement year in the Northstone HSE team, I was fortunate to be offered a bursary for my final year and the offer of a graduate position upon completion of my degree in Environmental Management.  

 

I returned in September 2023 to my new role as a sustainability graduate. It is all going well, and I haven’t been scared away yet! I have been working on energy and carbon management projects and developing Environmental Product Declarations for our Concrete Roof Tiles. I am also creating a Sustainability Project Matrix to track the progress of ongoing and new sustainability projects.  I look forward to getting out on-site and visiting all the projects once they get up and running.

 

As a graduate, I am lucky to be placed in the Ireland Materials Graduate Development Programme, launched in September 2023.  Along with the graduate intake from Roadstone Ltd and Irish Cement Ltd, over the next 12 months, I will participate in 12 modules covering everything from project management to customer service. To receive my Diploma Certificate, I must pass a final written examination at the end, so wish me luck!
