CE Marked Asphaltic Concrete
Asphaltic Concrete (commonly known as Asphalt, Tarmac, or Bitumen Macadam (Bitmac)) is a hot mixture of penetration grade bitumen, filler, fines (dust) and coarse aggregates. It can be in the form of base, regulating, binder and surface course layer designations. It is suitable for both machine and hand-laying.
Asphaltic concrete materials are available in a range of aggregate sizes and penetration grade bitumens.

It is a continuously graded material. The aggregate interlock provides the structural strength of asphaltic concretes. The grading provides the macrotexture of the material without the rolling in of precoated chips.
