Pre-coated Chips
Pre-coated chips are a single size aggregate coated with a layer of bitumen, resin or coloured binder. They are predominantly used with HRA to provide macrotexture to surface course layers.
These are available in a variety of sizes, colours, rock type and PSV grades.

We manufacture pre-coated chips using conventional asphalt production methods at the following locations:
- Croaghan
- Ballymena
- Mallusk
- Mountfield
- North Down
All products are produced and supplied to relevant quality standard BS EN 13108-4.
