Portrush Primary School visit our contracting site
We're thrilled to share that the amazing students of Primary 5 from Portrush Primary School recently had an unforgettable experience during their visit to our local contracting site, Kerr Street, Portrush!
Exploring the World of Construction: Accompanied by Greg McDaid, Site Engineer, these enthusiastic young minds had the opportunity to witness firsthand the fascinating world of Civil Engineering & Raw Construction Materials. They witnessed the intricate process behind construction projects that shape our community and improve lives. From the civils works to the finishing touches, they soaked up knowledge like sponges!
Highlighting Local Heroes: In an inspiring addition to the primary 5 school visit, we were honored to have the esteemed Harbour Master, Benny join us to deliver a captivating talk about the incredible work of Portrush RNLI.
Inspiring STEM Projects: But that's not all! Our partnership extended beyond the site visit. We engaged the students in a captivating STEM project on the beautiful West Strand Beach. They immersed themselves in hands-on activities, exploring the principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Together, we fostered their curiosity and sparked their creativity. A massive thank you to Rebecca McQuillan and Emma O'Brien for your time and efforts.
Committed to Social Value: At Northstone, we believe in giving back to our community and investing in the next generation. Encouraging young minds to explore STEM fields and showcasing the social value of our work is a responsibility we cherish. We are proud to support educational initiatives that inspire and shape the leaders of tomorrow!
Kudos to Portrush Primary School: A huge round of applause goes to the incredible staff and P5 students of Portrush Primary School for their active participation and enthusiasm during the visit. Your engagement and curiosity made the experience even more rewarding!
