NI Apprentice Week - Eoghan O’Neill

Eoghan O’Neill - Apprentice Civil Engineer - Contracts (East)

Eoghan joined NSM on 31st July 2023 as an apprentice Civil Engineer.  In addition to working for the company four days a week, Eoghan spends one day at Belfast Met.  When we caught up with Eoghan he had settled in well and told us the following:

"I have been involved in various surfacing schemes in Glengormley, Lisburn Road and Balmoral Avenue. I am currently involved in the public realm scheme in Portaferry, where I am keeping track of material usage, marking out, setting out, supervising surfacing squads and assisting with the general duties of an Engineer. The apprenticeship is excellent, and I enjoy working on-site and gaining highly valuable experience whilst balancing my studies. I have settled in well and found that everyone within the company is extremely helpful and wants me to succeed. I look forward to the future and highly recommend an apprenticeship".
