NI Apprentice Week - Adam Nesbitt

#NIApprenticeshipWeek2024 - Adam Nesbitt - Apprentice Mechanical Engineer - Ballymena Quarry

Adam joined NSM on 31st July 2023 as an apprentice Mechanical Engineer .  In addition to working for the company four days a week, Adam spends one day at Northern Regional College.  When we caught up with Adam, he had settled in well and told us the following:

“Over my first six months at Northstone, I feel like I have settled into the company and got myself into a working routine. Over this time, I have learned a lot about the wide range of maintenance tasks I have been involved in, whether using welding equipment or fault finding. My skills have increased, and I hope this will continue as there is always something challenging around the corner. The school/work balance can be a lot of work, but the assignments and exams are spread out to help get the best out of both. Over the next year, I hope to increase my knowledge and continue to learn.”
