We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Graduate to join our team.

The successful candidate will be based in Toomebridge; however, the candidate will be expected to travel to our surrounding Northstone locations as required.  

Graduates will take part in our two-year graduate development programme, to develop technical, interpersonal, commercial and management skills. Northstone’s 2025 Graduate Programme will commence at the beginning of September 2025.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Drive awareness & improvement of all H&S regulations and requirements to allocated company locations, employees and contractors.
  • Provide support and learn from the Health and Safety team.
  • Develop accident prevention and reduction plans and programmes.
  • Organise and carry out inspections and investigations.
  • Involved in driving and communication of safety initiative programmes.
  • Involved in organising and training employees and contractors.
  • Provide accurate health and safety advice and guidance.
  • Remain up to date with any changes to H&S legislation, CRH requirements etc
  • Involved in maintaining and progressing our health and safety management systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both employees and contractors.

Candidates should ideally possess:

  • A relevant third level Qualification in Health and Safety, Business Management, Engineering or similar qualification.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • A clean driving licence.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, organised, results driven and self-motivated.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An ability to operate to strict timelines/deadlines in order to produce results.
  • Strong computer literacy skills.
