Factory visit at our tile plant in Toomebridge with a group of influential ladies who work in GB's roofing industry.

During the event, Hugh Bradley, our Production Manager, gave the ladies a full factory tour, where they got to see the different stages of the roof tile production process and our full range of products.  Our lab technician, Eamon Quinn, demonstrated roof tile testing and explained our fully traceable quality process, ensuring our high-quality standards are consistently achieved.

The group consisted of Sue, the manager at Rinus Roofing Supplies in Bradford and Jodie, the internal sales advisor at the same branch.  Laura, the manager at Burton Roofing Merchants in York; Beverley, the purchasing manager at Jennings Roofing Ltd in Leeds; and finally, Sarah, the managing director of Wharfedale Roofing.  Our all-female despatch team, renowned for their dedication to customer service, finally put a face to these familiar voices.

The event ended with a razzle-dazzle around Belfast Christmas Markets and a meal in the Parisien; this was a great way to celebrate the achievements of women in the roofing industry.  Seeing so many women working in the roofing industry and significantly contributing to the field is inspiring.  We hope events like this will continue encouraging more women to pursue careers in the construction industry.
