Export & Freight Driver of the Year Award Finalist Noel King

The newly formed Women In Minerals group launched on Thursday, 5th October, at the Elk Toomebridge. In total, 60 people attended.  NSM was represented by Rebecca Mitchell (Environmental Systems Officer & WIM Committee Member), Megan Carr (Data Analyst) and Hanna Miskimmin (Sustainability Graduate).

 

Event speakers included:

Olga McAteer (Owner of McAteer Solutions)

Christine White (Head of Corporate - Women in Business)

John Carey (Business Coach & Motivational Speaker - U First coaching )

 

Rebecca commented that 'It was a positive and uplifting first event'.   

 

The event provided the perfect opportunity for women in the industry to get to know and support one another.

Key takeaways included:

-  Be passionate, don't give up, don't let anyone else's disbelief hinder you.

-  Be proud of what you have or are achieving.

- People quit at 40% of their potential but have way more in the tank.  You can achieve whatever challenges you face if you visualise and put your mind to it.
