Employee Development Programme

On Wednesday the 28th of May, our Employee Development Programme (EDP) participants reunited for the mid-year event.

Since the programme launched in March 2025, the nine teams have been working tirelessly on their fundraising efforts. As a result of the work of all involved, a key highlight of the day was the presentation of cheques to the Irish Cancer Society and Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. In just two months, the teams raised a phenomenal total of €28,460!

Irish Cement kindly agreed to round the total donation to Irish Cancer Society to €19,000 and the total donation to Cancer Focus Northern Ireland to €13,000; a total of €32,000. Congratulations and a huge well done to all involved.

A special shout out goes to Alan Lowe, Orlaith Dunican, Richie McCarthy and Elaine O’Hehir who all gave up their time to speak to the teams about key topics related to their projects, such as Finance, Stakeholder Engagement, and Presentation Skills. The attention now turns to the group projects which focus on providing innovative solutions for our businesses.
