Croaghan Quarry Trees Planted
The trees are in – 6,750, to be exact!
If you’ve been in and around the Coleraine area these past few weeks, you may have been lucky enough to spot the start of our tree planting venture at Croaghan Quarry!
With the help of Tony and his team at NI Farm Forestry, we have planted 6,750 trees on 5.04 hectares of land at our Croaghan Quarry. That’s roughly 5 rugby pitches, 4 football pitches, or 14 block yards worth of trees. This equates to 1,560 tons of carbon captured over the next 100 years.
This is only the start of our tree planting journey… so keep an eye out for more popping up across our different locations.
Special thanks must go to Sam Eccles, who kickstarted the Croaghan tree planting initiative.
