Have you ever wondered how much carbon is in your concrete?

Last month, we attended the Concrete Society NI Annual Awards dinner at the Europa Hotel. We were delighted to receive a joint win in the Process Innovation category with our bespoke customer Carbon Footprint Calculator for ready-mix concrete. 

To address the challenges associated with developing ready-mix concrete Environmental Product Declarations, we created this tool to deliver precise, project-specific carbon footprint reports for all our ready-mix concrete mix designs quickly and accurately, allowing customers to make more sustainable choices with confidence and efficiency.

The judging panel were impressed at the concise design of our carbon footprint report and how we presented complex information in a straightforward format to ensure customers genuinely understand their carbon impact regardless of education or technical background.

Well done to Hanna Miskimmin, our Sustainability Graduate, for her award submission and continued hard work and efforts working alongside William Wilson, Sustainability Manager at Roadstone.
