Celebrating Ian Wilkins' 30 Years Service!
We are delighted to congratulate Ian Wilkins who celebrated a milestone long service of 30 years on Thursday 10th June.
On the 10th June 1991, Ian Wilkins joined the Company as a graduate engineer, working under the guidance of Derek Waddell on the Killyglen Road, Larne.
In 1995, Ian’s ability and attention for detail saw him progress to the role of Site Agent. His first task in this role was to undertake the construction of the Eastern Approach Roads in Belfast, which now form part of the M3 Motorway.
During his thirty year career with the Company, Ian has been involved in a variety of projects such as Airport Road widening in Belfast Harbour Estate (1993), A12 Westlink (2007-2009), and the reconstruction of Styles Way/ Steeple Road Junction in Antrim (2015).
Ian’s ability to apply the knowledge and experience gained from these numerous projects, has led to the successful delivery of the Company’s largest project to date i.e. the A6 Dual Carriageway at Toome, in which Ian and his team successfully completed the laying of 340,000 tonnes of bituminous products.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ian for his enthusiasm and commitment to the Company. When asked what has he has enjoyed most, Ian stated the Christmas parties are always good fun. Ian does enjoy a party!
