Bike Week
It's Bike Week from 10th to 16th June 2024!
Let's celebrate by remembering the fantastic All-Ability Cycle Path project we completed in February 2024. Thanks to the @Department for Infrastructure and Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council for the funding, we transformed Clyde Park in Garvagh, creating a pathway around the football pitch for pedestrians and cyclists of all abilities.
Despite heavy snowfall and restricted access, we successfully excavated and laid a geotextile membrane, stone, kerbs, binder course, and surface course bitmac. We even managed to topsoil and seed the surrounding areas, ensuring the project's completion to the highest standard.
The council's feedback was incredibly positive, praising the quality of our work and the site's tidiness. This project provides a smooth path for pedestrians and cyclists and a clean and dry area for football match spectators. Let's keep the spirit of cycling alive and encourage everyone to enjoy the benefits of this fantastic community project during Bike Week!
