Armin Jamali joins Northstone Materials

On 5th February 2024, Armin Jamali joined the team as a Knowledge Transfer Partner. Armin is a concrete specialist from Northumbria University, Newcastle.

Over eight years, spanning his MSc and PhD programmes, Armin specialised in studying concrete materials, emphasising durability and performance optimisation through curing, additives, and admixtures. The results were published in top-tier civil engineering journals.

Armin is a KTP Associate employed by Queen's University Belfast and based at Northstone Toome.  Over the next three years as a concrete developer, Armin will aim to reduce the carbon footprint of concrete roof tiles whilst their mechanical, durability, and structural performance are improved in accordance with the environmental, sustainability, and commercial strategies of Northstone Company.

We welcome Armin to the company and hope he settles well at QUB and NSM.
