30 Years Service for Nigel Galbraith

Nigel joined the Readyuse business on the 1st of August 1994 when they acquired Strahans Road. At this stage, he took on the role of the shipper in a busy depot, where he shipped nine mixers and five block offloaders. As his career developed, he became an area supervisor looking after the company’s three locations in the West. In 2006, Nigel moved to a role in sales, where he spent eight years before transferring to his current role of Transport Manager.

When we caught up with Nigel, he said that his roles have had challenges, but he has enjoyed them all. If he had to pick one, he says, “Nothing gave me more satisfaction than organising the “big pours” and watching everything fall into place. I suppose we all have our roots, and mine are in concrete; as I was told once, my mind is like concrete, all mixed up and permanently set!”
