Quarry Foreman Dungiven
We are looking for a Quarry Foreman to work in our Murnees Sand and Gravel Pit to assist in the extraction, washing and screening of sand and gravel products to the standards set by the Company with maximum efficiency.

In this role the successful candidate will report to the Sand and Gravel Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and execute mineral extraction works. This includes carrying out statutory inspections and keeping records.
- Strong Leadership Qualities
- Manage daily activity to meet production and quality requirements
- Manage workforce to operate vehicles, mobile plant and fixed plant to manufacture aggregates; load quarry products into customer vehicles; wash and screen aggregates and maintain the work areas
- Carry out repairs and maintenance work within the quarry
- Act in a responsible manner to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others
- Risk assess activities and comply with agreed control measures
- Train and Mentor new members of the team
- Comply with health and safety procedures and policies to ensure the role is carried out without risk
- Ensure environmental standards are maintained and spillages are prevented.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required
- In due course become an appointed person under the Quarry Regulations
Requirements
- Strong practical skills, showing dexterity, speed and accuracy
- Previous Quarry/ Construction experience is essential.
- Strong Leadership Qualities
- Excellent attender & timekeeper
- Good team player with confident communication skills
- Experience of working to budget timeframes and working to budget timeframes.
- Experience in operating a range of quarry fixed & mobile plant and scheduling their maintenance and servicing.
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety matters.
- Flexible approach to working hours and travel.
